[Keep On Hustlin (Dubstep Mix)]

I would not like to hustle, although this sounds like Dub Step, it's the kind of Dub Step that is bringing the genre underground, everytime people make a nice new genre of music and develop it into new areas, artists have to flood a specific area to ruin it for everyone else. For Dubstep, it's LFO Masturbation, this didn't have much work on that part of it, neither did it have a attractive melody over 3 notes. The Vocals were pretty cheesy too, it was kinda awkward to listen to. Another tip with Dub Step: Where the hell is your snare? Allot of it relies on your snare actually existing, long reverbs and compression to really make it stand out, like 80's Pop Rock.

first of all the genre is called "Dubstep", not "Dub Step" and there IS a snare, that is a hip hop breakbeat. I don't consider this Dubstep at all,, and if you even read my description you would see the youtube video this is based on. it is also not a serious track and was made in only 5 hours,, byE

I have no idea why this no.1, The eq and compression is horrible, you couldn't play this at a club. There is allot more I hate about it, ALLOT, but to say more would be getting into opinions of music. I thought your synths and samplers could use a bit more work into the programming side.

Have you even heard any Mike Paradinas? Cylob? AFX? Squarepusher!?

yeah, i know..

1. Its juat a fun project thrown together in some hours. its made in a day ;P it has some mastering issues but i wouldt say its not horrible.. it was 1st cause it had a high score when the week ended, therefore ended up there for a week. its how the system on ng works, the song on top of the list issnt always even a good song. you should know this.

2. Its spelled "alot". and if you hate it so much its obviously not your style of music, therefore you shouldnt judge it by that. but i agree, this song could use alot of work, and if i were to make a real album mix of this, the sound would be quite diffrent i assure you.

3. i make alot of diffrent music, just check my other tracks. all the things you mentioned is stuff ive heard, yes. but its not like this in style at all, so why compare it.

Try to be alittle more constructive next time youre pointing out flaws, so i can actually concider them. saying you hate the song is just pointless. you were right about the compression tho, ill give you that.

I can't find one good thing about this, it's like you recorded some uncreative generic Eurotrance from a phone speaker and just played another song over it, make some effort or please stop.

Lacks

It really does lack allot, it's a horribly programmed bass sound, your drums severely need compression and eq, there was no music here. Melodies were a pretty poor fit for your synths, it sounded like MIDI samples but in a cheap way. You need to put some effort into your drums, it's Drum and Bass, it's meant to cut through your mix, your main snare sounds very noisy for it's place. This goes nowhere.

Jesus Christ, man. Kind of a crushing review, considering this was my second song. People have to start somewhere, I can't just hit the ground running. You hardly left me constructive criticism here, you just highlighted what you thought was wrong with the song. And seeing as how you've got no songs whatsoever on Newgrounds it seems kinda hypocritical for you to say such harsh things...

I've gotten a lot better since this, and I can recognize the problems with the song, but it honestly isn't as shitty as you've made it sound. "There was no music here"? Give me a fucking break.
